Sixwire

SIXWIRE consists of five veterans of touring, recording, and song-writing. Members of Sixwire have toured and recorded with Faith Hill, Richard Marx, Delbert McClinton, Kenny Rogers, Vince Gill, Lee Greenwood, Phil Vassar, Olivia Newton John, and countless others. Songs written by Sixwire members have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, John Michael Montgomery, Blackhawk, Chris Cagle, and more. Sixwires Warner Brothers CD debuted in the Top 30, and featured two hit singles and music videos. American Idol chose Sixwire as a finalist for their new FOX Television show THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND from over 10,000 entrants, and Sixwire moved from Nashville to Los Angeles for the three month stint at Television City in Hollywood. Upon returning to Nashville, Sixwire was chosen by CMT to be the house band on their new show CAN YOU DUET, which has recently wrapped its second season. Sixwire is currently recording and touring.

Andy Childs

Andy Childs - lead vocals, acoustic guitars
Andy's first recording effort was for a small independent label in Memphis, his home town, which featured regional radio hits. He was eventually signed to a developmental contract with Sony Records Nashville in 1991, and then to an album contract with RCA Records. His 1993 debut album on RCA, produced by Josh Leo and Mark Wright, featured three singles with accompanying music videos, including Simple Life, which reached the no. 1 spot in the Billboard Music Video chart. Andy went on to become a staff song writer and recording artist for EMI Music, eventually joining the Corlew Music Group. He teamed up with the other members of Sixwire in early 2000 and began writing songs for their recording project with co-writer/producer Steve Mandile. Sixwire’s Warner Bros. album features 6 songs co-written by Andy.
Steve Mandile

Steve Mandile - vocals, electric guitars
A native Texan, Steve began his professional music career playing in several regional bands there. After studying at Angelo State University, he moved to Nashville. There he then began tour work with acts such as Olivia Newton-John, Randy Travis, Faith Hill, Pam Tillis, Steve Wariner, Tanya Tucker, Suzy Bogguss, Lee Greenwood, Sherrie Austin and many others. He's also worked in TV, appearing on the Tonight Show, The Today Show, and Good Morning America. Steve is a prolific songwriter, with cuts by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Mindy McCready, Sherrie Austin, and others. His writing has earned him a SESAC "Songwriter of the Year" award. He's recorded with the likes of Kenny Rogers, Jo Dee Messina, Lee Greenwood, Jennifer Day, and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Steve currently operates a Nashville based production company, Big One Three Productions, producing projects for Arista Nashville, BMG Music, EMI Music, producer Brent Maher, and songwriters Desmond Child, Diane Warren, and Robert Byrne. Steve also produced, mixed and mastered Sixwire's Warner Bros. project.
Robb Houston

Robb Houston - vocals, electric guitars
Born in New Jersey, but raised in both Texas and New Jersey, Robb grew up in a creative environment. His mother is a painter and sculptor, and his father a guitar player. He picked up guitar at age 5, and went on to play it throughout his life. He graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelors degree in Music Business, went on to become a song writer with MTM Music Group, eventually landing a recording contract with Indy label Carlisle Records. He also did his share of road work with many artists, including John and Audrey Wiggins (Asylum), Brother Phelps (Asylum) and Randy Travis (Warner Bros.). He's also appeared on TV show such as on the Tonight Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, the Rosie O'Donell Show, Good Morning America, Regis & Kathy Lee, and many others. Currently, when not touring or performing with Sixwire, Robb spends much of his time songwrting and/or recording in Nashville.
John Howard

John Howard - bass guitars
A native Texan, John was born in Plainview, but was raised in Texas, Arizona and Nebraska. He graduated college with a music/business degree, after which speinding time in Austin to performing live. He then moved to Nashville in and started a touring career. He toured with he likes of Faith Hill (including the Soul2Soul tour in 2000), Richard Marx, Randy Travis, Phil Vassar, Lee Greenwood and Chely Wright, to name only a few. He's appeared on many of the most popular TV shows including the Grammys, Billboard Awards, ACMs, CMAs, VH-1 Divas, VH-1 Behind the Music, The Today Show, Good Morning America, David Letterman, The Tonight Show. He eventually joined Sixwire and signed with Warner Bros. soon there after. When not working with Sixwire, or other touring acts, John works in Nashville playing sessions from songwriter demos to masters, as well as writing songs.
Chuck Tilley
Chuck Tilley - drums
Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Chuck graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. degree in Music Administration. He studied orchestral percussion and jazz drumming at the prestigious Eastman School of Music. He's toured much of the world with acts like Lee Greenwood, Dolly Parton and pop star Engelbert Humperdinck. Chuck has also toured, recorded and/or performed with such diverse artists as: Al Jareau, Delbert McClinton, Kenny Rogers, Cliff Richard, Phil Vassar, Joe Nichols, Bret Michaels (Poison), Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Sara Evans, Brenda Lee, Porter Wagoner, Jessica Andrews, and many others. As one of the most sought after session drummers in Nashville, Chuck has performed on not only Grammy and Juno award winning albums, but also movie sound tracks, national jingles and T.V. show theme music - with musical styles ranging from country and hard rock, to contemporary blues and big band jazz.
