musictube.com is a portal for musical artists, musicians, producers and
songwriters. The news, blogs and video feeds are
intended to serve as an information resource for music professionals.

musictube.com
was first launched in 2005 by Robb Houston,
a full time working musician based out of Nashville, TN. The site was
originally intended to serve as a place for indy and/or unsigned
singers,
musicians, producers and songwriters to share their music and promote
themselves as artists. A simple browse and search system was designed
to link directly to media residing on musictube members own websites.
However, after 2 years of operation it became clear the site was being
misinterpreted by visitors as a social networking site with file upload
abilities, and not the portal it was meant to be. musictube.com was
eventually taken off line in preparation for a complete rebuild. It was
relaunched in 2009 as a news and information portal catering
to music professionals.
